PalaeoPals Holiday Card Here’s a prehistoric card for PalaeoPals to send to their pals this holiday season, and you can make it yourself in three easy steps.
1) Click here and print out the page that appears on A4 paper.
2) Fold the paper in half and then half again.
3) Cut off the bottom (where the web-related text appears).
Now you’ve got you’re very own dino-card. If you can’t print out in colour, don’t worry. You can either print it on coloured paper (just be careful not to use paper that’s too dark), or you can print it on plain white paper and add the colour yourself with paints or crayons. Use your imagination, and have fun!
The dinosaur on the card is ‘FANG’, the Afrovenator abakensis (Af-ro-VEN-a-tore a-ba-KEN-ziss) who lives at the Bernard Price Institute for Palaeontological Research at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. You’re going to meet him in a couple of months on this site and learn a lot more about him, so all you need to know at the moment is that he came at the very beginning of the dinosaur family that ended with Tyrannosaurus rex.
Have fun making your card, and keep your eyes on the site to learn about Fang. .
