Lydeburg Museum
Exhibits tell the history of the Lydenburg area starting 1,5-million years ago and covering the Stone Age and Early Iron Age. The famous Lydenburg heads are on display in the SA Museum, but replicas can be seen here.
Situated in the Gustav Klingbiel Nature reserve on the Long Tom Pass to Sabie.

The Gustav Klingbiel Nature reserve offers day hikes and game drives. Game includes the rare Oribi. A hiking trail leads to Early and Late Iron Age Pedi ruins. The birdwatching is excellent with 276 species recorded. Picnic and braai facilities are available. Guided tours are available by appointment.
